I'm Luis

My enthusiasm for winemaking stems from my godfather, Heinrich. As a youngster, I had the privilege of assisting him in the vineyards of St. Magdalena (BZ), where I gained my initial experience in viticulture and winemaking. By the age of 13, under his guidance, I crafted my first wine. That's when my passion for grape growing and winemaking was ignited, and it became clear that this was the path I was meant to pursue.

After finishing school, I attended the five-year Agricultural Technical School in Auer (BZ), followed by studies in Oenology and Viticulture at Geisenheim University (DE). The experience was formative, enriched by international connections, new experiences, and numerous excursions.

My subsequent internship at Alois Lageder started in the vineyards and then shifted to the cellar under the tutelage of Alois von Dellemann.

Later, I joined one of South Tyrol's leading wineries, the Tramin Winery Cooperative, where I spent 11 years as the right-hand man to the cellar master, Willi Stürz.

The opportunity to lease suitable vineyards in 2017 was a turning point. With the strong support of my family, my dream of owning a vineyard became a reality.
